Charitable gifts, no matter their size, provide us with the resources we need to continue our mission to change the lives of those we serve, one veteran, one child, one Golden PAWS Dog at a time.

An outright gift is a way you can give immediately and directly. It can be as simple as making an on-line gift through our website or by mailing us a check. Golden PAWS can put your gift to immediate use and you will receive a federal income tax deduction.

If you have a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) you can make a grant to Golden PAWS at any time of the year. There is no tax deduction available, but your grant comes from funds you have already set aside for charitable purposes, so there is no impact on your personal financial security. Please contact us if you need more information to complete your gift.
Gifts of highly appreciated stocks made directly to Golden PAWS have certain tax benefits. You receive a charitable income tax deduction, usually the full fair market value of your gift, whereas your cost is only you purchase price. Also, by making a gift rather than selling your appreciated assets, you can avoid capital gains tax. To make a gift of stock or securities, please contact Cindy Nelson, VP of Philanthropy at cindy@goldenpaws.org or 239-276-7293 for our DTC number and account information.
If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) or “IRA rollover” of up to $100,000 annual aggregate limit directly from your IRA to Golden PAWS without impacting your taxable income. As long as your gift is transferred directly to Golden PAWS, the funds are not included in your gross income. This gift is simple to arrange and can have an immediate impact on our organization.
Including us in your will or living trust is a wonderful way to show your support and appreciation for Golden PAWS and our mission while meeting your own philanthropic goals. We are happy to provide you with sample language to use to identify a percentage of your estate or a specific dollar amount you wish to give. To ensure that your wishes are properly followed we encourage you to share your final provision with us.
This information is not intended as legal or tax advice. Donors are urged to consult their own personal tax and financial advisors concerning the specific consequences of making gifts to Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs. We would be pleased to discuss, in confidence, ways in which you may support Golden PAWS.
